Silence of the wind

Ienzo sat quietly on the rooftop of where he worked in the city not to far away from school. He was on break right now a small sandwich next to him with a bottle of water accompanying it. The breeze teased his hair lightly tousling it about. Ienzo dropped two blood tablets into the bottle of water watching it change colors from it's clear clean liquor to the dark crimson red that was the color of blood. He was wearing a black tank to and cargo pants his arms exposed bandages covering his hands lightly. He ate his sandwich and drank the blood mixture in silence his mind reeling trying to grasp what he was feeling about Kiku, he had been thinking about this almost non stop since the day of the bar fight. Ienzo stood up suddenly the bottle now empty and threw the bottle against the ground angrily.

" Why is it like this ?"

He mumbled quietly to himself as he turned to pace the roof.

Kiku was out again. And he wasn't alone. He was walking on the street with one of his former gang friends, laughing really out loud and having fun. Kiku's friend was slapping Kiku's back, claiming:

"- Damn man, yer crazy, dude! Haha, that was so freakin's funny!"

Kiku was walking with a delighted smirk, his hands burried in the pockets of the jacket. Some distance up ahead, a bottle cracked by the pavement.

" - What the- Yo , these pps are screwers!" His friend called, but Kiku just looked up towards the roof and frowned.

Ienzo heard the loud obnoxious laughter and sensed kiku's presence along with it a small shudder shaking his small frame.

" Fuck "

Ienzo said his heart pounding in his chest a swirl of emotions clouding his mind of both hate and ones he didn't understand. He lifted his head phones that had been hanging around his neck back over his ears turning up the volume of his Mp3 player which crashed out the tunes of 'The Gazette'. His was clearly frustrated his hands clenching into tight fist as he continued to pace the roof before jumping down onto the street landing softly and the look of irritation clearly plastered on his face. The street light made his hair shimmer slight due to it's unusual color. He began to walk back to the shop he worked at a small black kitten following him.

Kiku's gaze went down from the roof as Ienzo jumped. He was in deep silence, though, his eyes shifted.
His friend gave him a nudge:

"- Yo, yah know that kid?!"

Kiku just smirked and said:

"- Let's storm the store..."
"- Hell yeah.."

They both entered the store, some moments after Ienzo. Kiku looked at the little black kitten that stopped in front of the store and he crouched, pinching its fur. He smiled slightly then fetched the kitten and placed it in his arms, entering the store with the kitten in his arms.
As he entered, his friend started to look for some CD's and snacks, Kiku delayed the shopping by giving Ienzo a teasing smirk. Then, petting the kitten, he walked through the shelves, those by which Ienzo could still see him.

Ienzo had sat behind the checkout counter the look of irritation still on his face as he said there his chin resting in the palm of his hand. When he heard the shop bell ring when Kiku and his friend he didn't look up at first.

" Welcome to - "

Ienzo stopped short and mumbled a curse as he looked up and relized it was Kiku who had entered the store, Ienzo went rigid as Kiku Gave him a teasing smirk his blood running cold as a slight blush colored his face against his will. Ienzo eyes fell to the small kitten in Kiku's arms some moment later before moving away to flip through a magazine that was close by. He looked intently at the magazine but failed to keep his gaze from slipping back to Kiku every so often. He hated this he just wanted them to hurry up and leave though another part of him wanted Kiku to stay.

" - Yo, Kiki check this out!"

Kiku stepped next to his friend, who was flipping through a X-rated magazine. His glare went over the pages, his fingers still scretching teasingly the chin of the kitten. After some moments, he shook his head, saying:

" - Buy it if you want, though,this number is boring."

"- If the man says so, he gotta be right!" His friend took the magazine and a bag of popcorn, then headed to the counter.
Kiku followed behind, looking at the signs that were saying: " No animal inside the store". He smirked to Ienzo.
His friend prepared the money, not really paying attention to Ienzo, until from behind Kiku's voice went:

" - When are you leaving work?"

Ienzo rang up Kiku's Friends purchase without much of a 2nd glance, all it was, were cheep fake thrills. Ienzo hadn't said anything about the kitten because He was use to it following him to work and waiting for him afterwards. He glared slightly at kiku suspious of his motives.

" Why do you want to know ?"

Ienzo said a small chill to his voice as he put kiku's friends purchase into a bag his hands trembling ever so slightly before handing the bag over with the change. His body shifted to take up a slightly more defensive stance folding his arms across his chest.

Kiku's friend took the bag and looked at Kiku. Kiku glared at him with a serious nuance:

" - Wait for me outside."

His friend nodded and went outside the store, starting to eat the popcorn. Kiku went closer to the counter, placing the kitten on it.

" - Why,indeed. To go on a date, of course, or meet in my room. Wouldn't that be the next step?"

Ienzo glared still though the slight red blush began to tint his face put of both anger and embarssment.

" What do you mean next step ?! Why would I want to go out on a date with someone like you ? "

Ienzo said his voice rising in anger slight the shades of red deepening on his face truly embarssed now. The kitten had begun to make it's way across the counter towards Ienzo. He picked the kitten up gently and turned his back go kiku.

Kiku tapped his fingers by the counter, glaring after the kitten, trying to ignore Ienzo's burst. But then he looked at the boy and claimed:

" - Mind your tone...you might loose your job for mistreating clients."

But then, suddenly, he jumped over the counter, at Ienzo's side.

" - Stop playing. I am serious. Let's meet later."

He grasped Ienzo's shirt somewhere above the belly-button keeping the boy there.

Ienzo stood still glaring at a random spot on the wall infront of him.

" you no cli- "
His sentence was cut short as Kiku placed his arms around him , his face flushed a deep red and he shut his eyes tightly his heart pounding in his chest as he gasped sharply. His body was trembling he couldn't decipher if Kiku was just playing him again or not.

" I get off in 20 minutes when dianna comes to take over "

Ienzo mumbled quietly his gaze moving to the floor.

"- Good. I will wait outside."

Kiku smiled. He looked slightly delighted at Ienzo's reactions then leaned into the boy, kissing his cheek softy. Then he jumped over the counter again and headed outside.
There he spoke something with his friend and both of them seemed to leave.

Ienzo's face became a deep red As Kiku placed a light kiss on it as soon as he heard the door shut she let out a sigh of relief cuddling the kitten close to him before placing the kitten back on the counter.

" he's gone for now "

Ienzo said a slight hint of relief in his voice as he rested his arms on the counter and slumped down to rest his head on it lightly. His fingers brushed over the kittens back softly petting it. The store felt slight empty without kiku's nagging presence.

20 minutes had passed and Ienzo had taken to fixing the shelves to dispel his nervous energy. When the door opened to the shop Ienzo looked up slightly hopeful.

" yahoo Ienzo I'm here "

Dianna called out to Ienzo setting her thing down and keying in. The small black kitten nugged Dianna's leg softly.

" Ah you let him inside today, you know I don't care if you do or not "

Dianna said picking up the kitten and petting it slightly before handing it to Ienzo.

" ah really well I'll bring him in more often , I'll be here tomorrow same time"

Ienzo said slightly rushed taking the kitten fro
Her and rushing slightly to the door.

" ah ok , in a rush I see have a date or something "

She called after Ienzo whiched caused a heavy blush to color ienzos face as he left. He stood outside the shop and looked around for Kiku.

Kiku was laying, alone, by the wall of a nearby cafe, smoking a cigarette. He looked lost in thoughts, serious and serene. Perhaps Ienzo hadn't seem him like that until now: he was calm and grown-up like.
He hadn't notice Ienzo, yet, as he was gazing up ahead at the cars passing. That image was cooling him down.

Ienzo spotted Kiku standing near the cafe he usually ate lunch at , he was slightly relived that Kiku hadnt seen him yet a small sigh escaping his lips as the soft blush began to fade from ienzo's face. Maybe he could take this opportunity to run and escape the powerful snare that was Kiku. Ienzo began to turn and walk the other direction but when the small kitten leaped out of his arms he turne and went after it which was heading towards Kiku. The kitten didn stop till Ienzo was a few feet away from Kiku to close to escape now. Ienzo scooped up the kitten quietly and kept his gaze on the ground.

" Hey "

He said quietly holding the kitten close and petting it with the hand covered in bandages trying to avoid kiku's gaze and keep the blush away from his face.

Kiku first looked at the kitten, then raising his glare eyed Ienzo.

" - Ah, you are here."

He took one last smoke and then tossed the cigarette by the wall, to fire it down. He threw it afterwards at the street's rubbish bin.
Then he faced Ienzo:

"- Are you tired or hungry?"

" hungry "

Ienzo said slightly quiet keeping head down for some moments before looking up at Kiku. The only hint of his nervousness was the slight blush that colored his face.

" any place in particular ? "
Ienzo asked curiously really trying to avoid heading back anywhere near their rooms anytime soon.

Kiku smiled, discreety at Ienzo's honest response. He shrugged then and placed his hands in pockets:

" - Well, I know some family restaurant nearby if you like homemade-like food."

He looked around the area then finally back on Ienzo.

" that sounds good lead the way "

Ienzo said his voice peaking slightly in excitement. He pulled his jacket from around his waist and put it on placing the kitten in his chest pocket.

" do they allow pets in "
Ienzo asked not wanting to leave the kitten outside.

Kiku twirled around and walked down the street. He had the usual walk: hands in pockets and slightly snuggled inside his jacket. He didn't look at Ienzo when he replied:

" - Do they have to know about it?"

He looked now at Ienzo and smiled rebel-like.

Ienzo walked at a pace slightly slower and behind Kiku. The kitten snuggled deep in his pocket. He looked up at Kiku slightly shocked at his reply.

" no they don't I presume "

Ienzo said a deeper blush coloring his face ad Kiku turned on that rebel smile which made ienzo's heart skip a beat. Why was he captivated by this monster infront of him he didn't know. He ran slightly To catch up with Kiku staying In a walking pace
Next to him but some inches away

Kiku stopped few steps, after, and opened the door of the restaurant:

"- Stick to me."

He muttered to Ienzo, walking inside the restaurant careless. He headed to a window-by table and waited for Ienzo to take a seat first. While waiting, he touched slightly a waitress on arm and smiling charmly said:

"- Two menus and some ham for the kitten, please"

He winked at her. And Now the responsability of the kitten was on the waitress shoulders, since she was to blame for leaving an animal inside and doing nothing.

Ienzo stayed close to Kiku as he was told to but avoided physical touch with Kiku. When the reached the window seat Ienzo Sat down keeping the kitten in his pocket, and glared at Kiku slightly as he told the waitess about the kitten hoping that they wouldn't be kicked out for it.

The waitress scurried off to get the menus saying nothing about the ham for the kitten though

Kiku slided in the sofa placing his elbows on it. He looked out of the window, saying:

" - I wasn't aware you are a worker...."

Then he moved his gaze upon Ienzo. He would start sooner or later the talk about them, but till then he didn't want to scare the kitten out, and by kitten he was thnking of Ienzo.

Ienzo pulled the small kitten out of his pocket and set him in his lap when he was sure no one was looking. He petted the kitten softly keeping his gaze on the table.

" I may stay on Campus for free but i Do have to work to buy what i want unlike some of the others "

Ienzo said grumbling slightly his gaze narrowed, he always sensed a hint of arrogance from kiku.

The waitress returned some moments later placing a menu in front of each of them along with a small plate of ham.

" What can i get you to drink "

The waitress asked them looking at the two of them patiently. Ienzo pulled the plate of ham closer to him and picked it apart and began feeding it to the small kitten in his lap.
